For those of you that have attended Warped Tour already, you might have noticed the guys in The Maine, A Rocket To The Moon, and This Century wearing t-shirts that say “BE THE EXAMPLE”. This is an awesome campaign they started to help promote a healthy, positive lifestyle for their fans.

This is a great example of doing something right when you have such an influence over so many kids. I commend their efforts in helping set things straight with a very superficial and shallow scene. It’s time that we all start realizing, before we can change the world, we have to change ourselves first. You can’t sit around and wait for someone else to set an example for you so you can follow that. You can be the example for everyone else, if you would like to.

 what will i do? i’ll try to be true to myself. i think that being true to yourself is definately one o fthe most important things you can do, especially considering the kind of world we live in today, where media portrays society’s image of what people should look like, or how they should act. everyone trys so hard to fall into this category simply because it seems like that is what everyone else is doing. i believe that if a few people have the courage to break out of this shell and be themselves others would have courage to do so too. it’s leading by example. i believe that it works this way.
